It’s been almost a year since Gabriela and I came together and created YA Cafe, our weekly Friday series on teen literature. But now due to the upcoming arrival of her son and the start of a new business, Gabi is saying goodbye to her personal blog.
What does that mean for YA Cafe? Gabi will no longer post, but since I still want to chat about teen lit, I’m going to keep the series going. Obviously the format will change since it will no longer be a collaborative project. I think I’m going to let go of the rigid schedule. Up until now, we’ve posted for YA Cafe on Fridays but going forward, I might write a YA Cafe post on a Wednesday, or skip it one week. I’ll continue to blog consistently but add some spontaneity.
The book club will fade away as well, unless I hear people are interested in it. If you are, let me know!
To Gabi: I want to say a huge THANK YOU for being such an awesome YA Cafe partner for all of these months. I loved getting together to brainstorm topics, and trying new things like the book club and our video interview. I hope this isn’t the last time we work on something together! I wish you luck with your new venture, DIYMFA, and I’m super excited to see you become a mom.
As for you lovely blog readers, thanks so much for supporting this project! It’s been a blast and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
